Drive out to the beautiful St Donats (you could catch a train to Llantwit Major and cycle from there).
Go west past some chickens at The Vale of Glamorgan Angling Club, follow lovely country lanes going towards Marcross
You’ll pass some excellent pubs- The Horseshoe Inn at Marcross
And The Plough and Harrow too, they sell Joe’s ice cream.
Keep going west through Wick with it’s lovely pond.
Take a turn after Wick towards Southerndown.
Down a narrow road you’ll pass The Three Golden Cups Inn, take a left following signs for the beach.
Follow the narrow road and soon you’ll descend a steep hill which takes you to a car park and the adjacent beach.
A little way on, through the car park, you’ll see Dunraven Castle which is also worth a visit.

After resting and having an ice cream, meander back along the same route.
Look out for these sheep which always seem walk in a perfectly straight line!
